Strength in Yielding

Paintings (掠れ - The Trace)

I have painted the chrysanthemum, the pine, the plum blossom, and now the bamboo, which means I have officially completed the classic "Four Gentlemen" (Shikunshi) of East Asian ink painting! Bamboo specifically represents flexibility, resilience, and humility (due to its hollow center), teaching the lesson of bending without breaking. A paradox central to Zen, illustrating that true strength often lies in flexibility rather than rigid resistance.
