• Top (爫): Represents a hand.
• Middle (心): This is the radical for heart. In the traditional version, the heart is placed right in the center, suggesting that true love comes from within.
• Bottom (夂): Represents a foot or "walking slowly."

Together, the etymology suggests the image of someone "walking while looking back with a lingering heart"—a beautiful metaphor for deep attachment and care.
