Flowing Without Effort
Paintings (掠れ - The Trace)
In this piece, the gently gliding koi serve as a visual meditation on the Taoist and Zen concept of wu wei—the art of effortless action. Suspended beneath heavy, shadowed lily pads, the fish do not fight their environment; they move in perfect, quiet harmony with the unseen currents. Just as the brush must sometimes sweep across the paper without rigid overthinking, which is much harder than it looks.
